In our group, we have a sweet lady named Leslie Bunnell who is taking her wife and kids to Smoky Mountains Tennessee for their Summer Vacation, They’re leaving today.
I use a Sony HDR-HC1, it’s about 6 years old. It shoots in 1080i, 16×9, but my Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 will only process 720×480, so I don’t get HD results.
I know the GSMR does freight work for a feed mill in Andrews (Picks up and delivers cars for Norfolk Southern) Beyond Andrews to Murphy, the remaining line is abandoned, although the tracks are still in place.
You are absolutely right. I myself am an employee of GSMR and during the off season over the winter I did a Internship at the shop for school and helped sand, paint, and letter those cars.
Yeah GSMRR is taking the gold band out from the center of the cars and leaving them solid tuscan red with gold lettering, ala` N&W. so far they got 3 cars (dixie flyer, silver meteor, and MacNeil) finished and looks like theyre starting on another car. Its in the shop at Dillsboro and is getting stripped right now.
Very Nice Smoky Mountain. If possible, I will Visit in my life time. All the way from Bangalore.

What new car?
5 stars! Great video. #711 is one of my favorites on the GSMR.
Love the scenes at the Almond depot, especially the black and white. Save for the Photog, it could have been the ’50s and the Southern.
