you sir, are a fuckin wizard!

  2. Peter Kan says:

….and at about $10 per gallon, one would think that drinking the stuff
was far more economical that burning it in your vehicle.

  3. noooddle says:

While I appreciate the great job you’ve done, the economics and the fact
that you’re ok with 10% water don’t spell “fuel”. But great job.

  4. TheBase1aransas says:

Government permits are going out of date. 😉 The revolution is between
    the ears. Good Job!

  5. Doug Witman says:

I would like to say one more thing here for those who mentioned skepticism
about the 5% water in the ethanol.
Hydrous ethanol (about 95% ethanol and 5% water) can be used as fuel in
more than 90% of new cars sold in the US. The US uses E85 at most pumps
today. E85 contains 85% gasoline and 15% hydrous ethanol. This means that
every time you fill up at most all pumps today you are pumping almost 1%
water in to your tank. Hmmmm….

  6. Michael Shaw says:

I have seen a few setups that have the plates and viewing ports. I just
cant seem to find out why their are these viewing ports or why there are
plates. If the end product goes up and then condenses iinto liquid isnt
    that all that matters?
Additionally they say you need to measure temp at what is it 170 ish to
make sure your pulling ethanol instead of methonol 140 ish. What are you
measuring mash temp, air temp, or tank temp? Thanks

  7. William Page says:

How much did all that equipment cost ?

  8. Justin Thompson says:

Thinking About Running with the big Boys… I’ve had my eyes on this for
    somethime now!!!!

  9. Brian Carver says:

Hillbilly Stills offers a plate distillation columns for hobby use.
    #craftdistillation #distillation

  10. Doug Witman says:

A lot of people here apparently don’t understand what you are doing here. I
would just like to say that you are making some awesome Vodka oops I mean
ethanol. Not that I would drink ethanol. LOL
Everyone is so critical here. By the way everyone with a negative remark,
he makes these to sell. This is his income. He sells to micro distilleries
and home distillers mostly. He has his ethanol licence so he can legally
test what he makes. If he did not this would be illegal to do to make any
    type of alcohol.

  11. PitchBlackFox says:

that and stills explode, and it has less to do with fuel and more to do
    with alcohol tax and prohibition

  12. Ovidiu Pop says:

Toate lipiturile cu cositor. Plumb gramada. Conceptul bun , informatii
    lipsa. Pacat.

  13. monkeyboy8me says:

im trying to make ethanol ,how do you make that?

  14. Fleetingfreedome says:

    I am a huge fan

  15. Garnett M. says:

Pretty well self serve -I got to get my reflux going just looking for the
right kettle have all the rest done was want ing to use a electric coffee
pot they condensate real good -Yours is cuttting edge though .

  16. pyromodder2 says:

Mike, what would you think about adding two doublers very near to the
boiler of the still (to maintain heat) containing Ca(OH)2 in one and
activated carbon in the other? Would this succesfully heighten ABV while
cleaning the product while killing two birds in one stone (e.g. spirit
filtration)? Or would this just add too much time to distilling?

  17. David Pitts says:

how much do you put in your gas tank ??

  18. Actually, this unit runs less than $2,500. This is the 26 gallon version.
The one you are referring to is the 50 gallon version and yes, it’s much
higher in price. We started with a homemade still for around $100, then
moved up to the 8 gallon for about $500. When we get bored with that, this
26 gallon version will be next on the shopping list…

  19. SanativeRevolution says:

If it it ones intent to consent to oversight, then yes, you would be
correct. However, if one is living their life by LAW, meaning lawfully, and
not by statute or code, meaning LEGAL or legally, then such oversight needs
to be backed by the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights, which it is not.

  20. steeliedan5150 says:

    ANSWER TO 3/8 BALL VALVES… FYI…. most all 3/ 8 -1/2″ ball valves are
notorious for leaking gas and or liquid. I am not sure why but a wise man
told me this a long time ago when I installed a gas heater in my shop..
There is nothing that can be done meaning more pipe dope or whatever.. My 2
    cents.

  21. anarchydiver says:

where did you get your boiler thermometer?

  22. dreamssofblue says:

@kindrixxx my generator runs of gas. i think ethonol would work. then again
if it came down to it in an emergency situation open flame would be king.
burn some wood with a mesh grill to set the still on gtg. getting the water
out of the ethonol is the trick. i found the best way to do this ” in
theory” is dynamic seperation when you mix ethonol with some gasoline. you
add water drop by drop untill you see the water drop out of suspension from
    the ethonal and seperate.

  23. Fredmullegun says:

WTF I wanted this to be a musical instrument of some kind!

  24. lol fuel

  25. funkitupyo62 says:
