Yes, it is a Nudie style suit. I am assuming it is authentic, and if it is, he got it from Nudie’s of Hollywood, which was founded by tailor Nudie Cohn and his wife. They made anything from suits like this to the gold lamé suit worn by Elvis. (reportedly that cost Elvis 10 grand). Nudie died in 1984, but Nudie’s still makes the suits, and many designers do replicas (or cheap knock-offs) of these suits. Even the knock-offs are often referred to as Nudie suits because he made this style popular.
