Many of the Italians living in Calabria (Southern Italy) have Jewish roots going back to the Inquisition. When an American rabbi of Italian descent, Barbara Aiello, returns to her ancestral village in Calabria to encourage the locals to discover their Jewish heritage, not everyone (Jews and Christians) welcomes her. This is the promo for the one hour documentary film now in production and seeking co-production and distribution agreements, foundation or private support to complete the film. The weather forecast was calling for some type of epic blizzard today, but so far all that has fallen is rain… o.o Thinking we’d be bypassing spring, summer, and autumn altogether and moving straight back into winter I wanted to at least taste spring today…

So more strawberries…this time in the form of strawberry curd to be served with strawberry lemonade muffins or whatever your little heart desires. This is the first time I’ve ever made/used strawberry curd (or any curd for that matter) so I’m open for ideas to use this tasty treat up! 😉
