If you filmed in HD 1080p then why did you put it on Youtube where it shows in 360p ???? Put it on Vimeo where it will be in 720HD anyway !!!!

The Smokey’s are the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. It took a lot of guts for anyone to settle there and try to live. But I will never understand how anyone can leave. It brings tears to my eyes to watch this video. I didn’t listen to the music, I wanted total silence, as if I were actually there. I am in Texas, it’s the polar opposite of the beauty you live in. I am from the hills of S Illinois. No shame in being called a hillbilly. Life is happier there.

  7. 92notchback302 says:

Man this is so beautiful. Ive been looking forward to going there for such a long time and I finally get to go in May

  8. flytier37 says:

It’s so sad that all the frasier firs are dying from acid rain :( they are such a unique species, and I hope we do not loose them! The smokies are just beautiful, and the Appalacian forests will be under some VERY hard times over the next few decades.

  11. I love the comments on this video. It is beautiful and your choice of muisc does not intrude at all, just flows with the scenery.

I live near Townsend at the base of this mountain range. I too have been privileged to grow up near such a beautiful place. The mountains never cease to amaze me no matter how many times I’ve been. I could visit the same spots over and over again and never get tired of the view.

  13. TearstoRoses2 says:

When I worked in Sylva, NC. back in early 1960. Often on Friday evening I would pack up my convertible take the parkway from Balsam to Gatlinburg TN. for the weekend. Those were the most beautiful drive and soul searching days. I love these mountains and I have never drifted far from them. I live in Asheville now. So the beauty of the mountains are still around me. After all these years I am still amazed at the beauty.. This is truly God’s country! Vivian

I’m Eastern Cherokee, as far as we’re concerned these mountains are the center of the world. Amazing

  18. beretta1342000 says:

The Great Smokies are beautiful. I live in Nashville, but I go up there every year around fall. I have also been to The Rockies. Both breathtaking and beautiful. Go to Montana and Wyoming! Much more beautiful that The dakota! I did love Deadwood thought. But, I perfer Tennessee. But, I think anything as beautiful as this is nice.

  19. shouamabane says:

I’m from Tennessee originally but currently stationed in Rapid City, right at the foot of the Black Hills. Let me tell you, IMO, these mountains SUCK. As soon as the mountains end in the east, you have the ugly high plains of SD; the change in terrain is abrupt and harsh. What beauty there is to be had in the Black Hills can only be appreciated for a few months out of the year because of the insanely long, brutal winters. A few blizzards a month is NOT fun. I can’t wait to be back in the south!

  20. NorthCitySider says:

I still prefer the rocky mountains though. Im from the Midwest, where there are few appalachians. But our tallest mountain, The Harney peak of the Black Hills in SOuth Dakota, is more than 7000 feet tall. That’s taller than any mountain in the appalachians. Not to mention that the Black Hills are not very widespread.

Thank you for commenting… I loved being at Clingmans Dome at Sunrise… It really is a life changing experience. I get to visit these breathtaking mountains about once each month and it always amazes me. I really love to ride my motorcycle there…It makes me feel…Small…but connected somehow to something much bigger than I am.

  22. StormyGal08 says:

    From Knoxville,Tennessee. ‘The Smokies’
-Gods Country- Have been to these mountains all of my life. It humbles me to be reminded of just how beautiful my roots are. We may be referred to as Hillbillies….so be it..if this is how we earned that name. (smiles)

  23. char4him99 says:

  24. char4him99 says:
